Bleeding from the rectum during childs 1st period

My 12 year old daughter has just started her period but she is also bleeding from her rectum. Why is this?

Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Simultaneous bleeding from vagina and rectum can be due to mainly two causes. One is  a fistula tract between uterus/vagina and rectum and the other is presence of ectopic uterine endometrium—as happens in endometriosis.
Take your daughter to your gynecologist and get this assessed. Take care!

hello, this is not normal. if this is your childs 1st period and this is happening than think of what could happen in later years. i think you should seek medical attention for your daughter. i wish i could do more to help if i havent helped already.
