Im a seventeen yr old girl and I constantly have headaches, stomach cramps and dizziness. Im also frequently feel sick and im always exhausted, I have asthma, I use to be epileptic but was told a few months ago it was gone and anemic but Im constantly ill this gives me poor attandance at college. I've told my mom but she always says its in my head or its your periods she never tells my doctor and always insists that she goes with me so when I try to tell my gp she says something else so that I can't I want to make an appointment by myself but I don't know the number. The reason why im so worried is because my periods are irregular, ive often felt faint I constantly have throat infections, my chest always feels like theres a burning dagger in it, im unable to sleep at night and quite recently ive had the feeling of electricty going up my spine or base of my neck as well numbness in my hands that are followed by painful spasms when I move them. Ive never actually joined in on sports activities or any other kind because I have problems in such areas, I wouldn't usually do this either but im deperate for advice because now its getting worse and I always feel sick and dizzy in the morning so I don't eat until lunch and even then i'm constantly hungry. if weren't for the fact that I don't know what to do then I wouldn't ask its starting to scare me because I have never had sex and I haven't had any of my vaccinations especially my cervical cancer injection because of my phobia of needles. My friends think I may be diabetic but I think theres more to it please anyone give me some advice on what to do or even what you think it might be. In desperate need beth jane xxxxxx

Nice to know I'm not alone here though my symptoms have been going on for a lot less time than most of yours has.

First of all, I do have quite a few things wrong with me that are all under control now. Anemia, hashimotos hypothyroid, autoimmune hypoparathyroid with symptomatic hypocalcemia and those are pretty controlled right now. All blood work excerpt my wbc is normal.

However I'm still getting some other same symptoms from the hypocalcemia ... but if they're under control then how could it be?

- Still get a little tingling in the face
Light headed/dizzy (though meclizine helps TREMENDOUSLY! I can actually function     for the most part now).

- Shortness of breath.

now for other symptoms that I've been experiencing lately are:

- pain behind ribs in both sides in the front and in the right side of my back .. almost to the point where the pain in back makes me wanna cry.

- I also have this itchy rash i've had about a week now on my upper chest/next. Hydrocortizone cream helps the itch but it doesn't seem to be helping the rash.

I keep telling the docs about it the pain behind ribs, but they're not exactly sure what it could be as ct scan comes up nothing except lymph nodes .. and am waiting for results now to see if it is lymphoma or some other type of cancer or just something simply as inflammation.

I was wondering if the lymph nodes could be causing the pain but my dr doesn't seem to think so.

Any ideas??

My mom had the same exact problem she would have these horrible Panic Attacks which would cause her to wake up during the middle of the night there were several occasions where we rushed to the ER and they said it was a panic attack she had issues with being unbalanced and dizzy she couldn't walk for several minutes because she would always feel dizzy the doctors said it waS virdago she took medication it didn't go away she then went to a speacialist and they said it was the crystals in her ears that they were unbalanced so she started going to therapy for that . Wgat helped her best was the zoloft and losing weight she lost 50 pounds and she hasn't had the problem for the past 7 months and she winged herself off the zoloft

They did tell me my sugar levels were low too but
that they'd rather it be low than high...good excuse
to eat something sweet...ha! Wish that helped the
rest of my symptoms.
