I know that stress can cause stomach problems, and since you said you are dealing with some emotional issues right now that could be the root cause.
You said you didn't like the drug you took for anxiety/panic attacks, but I think you should try another one. My husband has the same problem and he couldn't stand the first two drugs they tried, but the 3rd one (paxil) worked great. His doc said that since everyone's body chemistry is so unique it can take a few tries to get a medication and dosage that works for you, so you have to just be patient and hang in there, even though it's really frustrating.
Since you are without insurance, I'd suggest looking into free clinics and free mental health services in your area - you can just go to Google and do a search for 'free clinics (or free mental health services) in New York City" or wherever you live. Do you happen to be in college? Some colleges provide free clinics (and affordable insurance too).
Hope this helps,

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
The symptoms could be due to inflammatory bowel conditions such as ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease, Celiac disease (gluten intolerance), lactose intolerance or IBS or irritable bowel syndrome. Severe acidity with gastric reflux can also be a cause and so also worms in stool. Hiatal hernia is another possibility. Omeprazole is a good drug to combat this. This should be taken empty stomach in the morning. Along with it you can try over the counter antacids. However I would recommend you see a doctor and take medication under a doctor’s supervision. Avoid heavy meals and eat frequent small meals. Avoid too much of caffeine, tea, smoking, fried food and drinks both alcoholic and non alcoholic fuzzy ones. Avoid heavy exercises within 4 hours of a heavy meal. Raise the head end of the bed by pillows to 30 degrees. Go to bet at least 2 hours after food. Maybe these tips will help you.
Liver and gall bladder issues too should be looked at by a liver function test and ultrasounds. It can also be a food intolerance of some kind and hence food challenge test should be done. Please discuss this with a gastroenterologist. Hope this helps. Take care!
