When you start having your periods it will seem very weird but that color is normal. I went to the doctor when my daughter was 13 yrs old and the doctor said it is normal.. Doctor also said for the first 2 yes of your period might stop and start again at all different times. My daughter had her period stop for months and then started again. Your body after 2 yrs will start getting heavier periods and on a regular basis. Don't worry. Everything is OK.

100% normal :) that's what mine were like when I first started :) I freaked out about it but my older sister explained it's just old blood.  Even now I'm older they an still start or finish like that :))) You'll get heavier and more regular the more you have :)

I've had that happen before, usually near the end of my period. It means the blood is old, that it shed from the uterus and then took a while to travel out. That's my experience, but I am not a doctor. Now that you have your period you should get established with a gynecologist. Can you talk to your mom and ask her to take you?
