ewww Thanks lol I hope that does not happen to me. I was told that the common bile duct could stretch a little and store the bile but nothing about the possibility of having stones again. Thanks for the info, Sissie
Well, I had injured my back in 2000 and they xrayed my back and it showed up. Of course they freeked out and every time I get xrays they see it and always tell me you have a huge gallstone. I tell them no it had been removed in '81, but something the size of my gallbladder has grown to fill the space, and my pcp said until it causes problems, he wouldn't do anything about it.
Just curious as to how you know you have a stone in the area where your gallbladder was removed? I just had mine removed a couple of days ago and didn't realise that was possible. I was told by my surgeon that if a stone were to get into the common bile duct it would require a specialised surgery because that could cause serious problems. Thank you for the info. Best wishes, Sissie
