Feeling desperate

As of late I have been noticing a serious decline in my health. I have been experiencing some extreme symptoms. Before I get into the details I would like to disclose my general health, in hopes that someone will be able to help me. I am a 22 year old female, slightly overweight, a smoker of 8 years, and I was a chronically ill child. At 7 I had an appendectomy, at 9 I had to have my tonsils removed, and at 17 I had to have a thymoma ( tumor encasing my thymus ) removed. Over the past few years I have experienced hand, foot, leg, and arm pain periodically. The pain has gradually become more frequent and more severe. The pain usually starts as tingling, moves to throbbing, and ultimately leads to severe shooting pains. The pain no longer goes away, it simply runs from moderate to severe. I have also been feeling weak, like I'm loosing my physical strength. Also, my hands have been shaking a good deal of the time. Whatever this is is starting to takeover my life. I am having trouble getting through a day of work, and it is putting strain on my marriage. Please help me, I am terrified this will ruin my marriage.

The organs you have lost plus a tumor on your thymus gland  signals an immune system problem.  The thymus gland produces  white blood cells....t-4 and t-8 that help other cells recognize and destroy invading bacteria, viruses, abnormal cell growth such as cancer and foreign tissue.

You need to have a t-cell count done by your doctor.  Look up chronic fatigue syndrome  and lupus on the internet and see how you measure up to their symptoms. If your thymus cell count is low you could be put on thymus extract either or both by oral and shots and hopefully it will help you to feel better. All your hormone levels should be checked if possible because when one gland is failing others can weaken from being overworked and you could be low on other hormones, eg. thyroid.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
The jolting pains can be due Vit D or Vit B12 deficiency, fibromyalgia, or ankylosing spondylitis causing multiple pinched nerves. Lyme’s disease is another possibility.
Do discuss this with your doctor and get yourself examined. Take care!
