What do you mean she doesn't have an eating disorder? She involuntarily throws up? If so, does this happen after eating certain foods or just any food? I would suggest seeing a doctor ASAP! This can cause all sorts of problems and is really serious. I assume she has been losing weight.... any fever? She may have a really bad virus or infection. Like I said see a doctor and make sure she is drinking fluids. Hope she gets help and feels better!
She needs to see the doctor as soon as possible. Throwing up and not being able to hold food down could mean some serious problems. Such as Gallbladder, small intestine cancer, brain tumor, etc.
When I was 10, that happened to me, my parents went out of their mind taking me to every stomach specialist and hospitol that phila. had to offer, no help. Finally after 2 months we went back to our family doctor and he looked in my throat and my tonsils were infected and dripping infection into my stomach, that was making me throw up. Does she have a fever, if she does she needs to go to a doctor, if she doesn't have any health insurance, then go to your county hospitol, they will hopefully diagnose her. Good luck and good thoughts.
Hello,
Causes of vomitings can be many. However the common ones are gastritis or peptic ulcers, gastroenteritis(irritation and infection of the digestive tract.),gall bladder disease, liver pathologies, migraine,GI diseases and neurological diseases.
Are there any other symptoms like fever, abdominal pain, headache, dizziness etc?If you could elaborate more on the symptoms that your little sister is having then it can help me more in making a diagnosis.Anyways,it would be better if you get keep her fluid electrolyte balance optimum by giving her plenty of fluids. Also consult a physician if the symptoms become more severe.
Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted if you have any additional queries.Kind regards.
