help.

My mother is 54 years old. She had her menopause a few years back and feels uneasiness, hot flashes, mood swings at times with a consistent acid reflux issue. she eats normally. Her bmi is around 29. But this time, she got really ill. she was alright last night. but today when she woke up, she kept on vomiting. She has nausea with dry heaves. She cant even drink water. she had a normal meal last night, nothing oily or starchy. She even has fever. she throws up immediately if she eats or drinks anything. i gave her an inj of Gravinate. didnt work. then she got another later today. she slept for a while and then woke up. had two glasses of juice and a few bites of soggy rice with pulses. and her condition is still the same. this happened last year as well. or a few months back. is it hormonal or something else?

she is better now but still a little weak. i gave her fluids and soft diet. but i still think its because of something else and not hormonal. and yes dehydration is a big concern. hopefully she'll recover. taking omeprazole for reflux

I would definitely make an appointment with a dr, and if her fever is high, or she still hasn't been able to keep anything down get her to the ER. Keep in mind that excessive vomiting can lead to dehydration which is very dangerous so even if this doesn't seem serious (no pain, low fever)-if her fluid intake isn't good, it could be much more serious than it seems.
