MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL

Hi,

Have you ever suffered from jaundice (yellow discoloration of urine/skin) since you got your gallbladder removed? I am thinking of a Post Cholecystectomy Syndrome. PCS is caused by alterations in bile flow due to the loss of the reservoir function of the gallbladder. Two types of problems may arise. The first problem is continuously increased bile flow into the upper GI tract, which may contribute to esophagitis and gastritis. The second consequence is related to the lower GI tract, where diarrhea and colicky lower abdominal pain may result. An Upper GI endoscopy and an ERCP in which the biliary and pancreatic ducts are visualized and they can definitely help in finding out the etiology of the PCS.

I would suggest you to consult a Gastroenterologist for the same. I would also suggest you to undergo a complete hepatic profile including hepatitis B & C tests to rule them out.

I hope that helps. Please do keep me posted. Kind regards.

I have your same symptoms. My organs hurt all the time. If I have to sit for a while in a car or whatever my bowels, organs, everything, that sticky rib thing you mentioned. I'm down with a heating pad and ibuprofen. My other muscles feel like I have ran a marathon. I'm also a hairdresser. I have a very limited clientelle right now because I am recovering from cancer. I scaled my work down considerably. I am convinced I have fibromyalgia. All the symptoms are there plus the other health risks that put you in line for it.Everything is so much more sensitive, not just my organs. My skin, I itch much more, I have many more scratches on my skin just from itching, I always look like a cat went nuts on me. The scratches take much longer to heal and look different healing than ever before in my life. I'm doing all I can to lose weight, I've lost about 50 pounds so far. Trying to build up my muscles, but I really want to find out how to handle this organ pain, the inside pain. It hurts horribly. My whole life is having to work around this constantly and I don't want to say I become fatigued easily, it's not like I need a nap and I feel better after. I don't nap, my sleep has been very affected. Getting to sleep and staying asleep is a nightmare. I've done several sleep studies to find out I don't get into REM sleep. But, my muscles hurt much faster, they become heavy and I'm in pain and need to lay down, take ibuprofen and put the heating pad on the most painful part. Things I've done my whole life, driving makes my arms hurt. Not to mention my organs from the sitting. Cutting hair, I have had to become creative in how I cut hair so my arms don't exhaust before I'm done. I have to rest in between clients, I can't take them one after the other. I will stop ranting. I'm just very glad to find someone like me. I'm writing everything down on a daily basis so that I can take it to my dr. and give them as clear as picture as possible. If you would like to talk further please email me at ***@****

Since you work in a salon I really think you need to be tested for Hep C. You are exposed to so many people and at high risk to contract it in that setting. Please, get tested. Millions of people have it and do not know it. ALL of your symptoms fit the profile for it, at least if you test you will know for sure if it is causing your health problems or not. Hve them test for Hep B too while you are at it. It is a simple blood test.
If you look up "extrahepatic manifestations" you will see that the problems you have can be a direct result of having this virus.
Best of luck to you, hope you get some answers soon.

Have you ever been tested for Hepatitis B and C? Gallbladder issues as well as Sjorens(sp) syndrome can be a DIRECT result of having Hepatitis C. Please get tested. Also your pain could be related to your liver, have you had a full hepatic panel done? I would have the doctor do a complete CBC and a full hepatic panel and test you for viral hepatitis. Many people have it and do not know it and it can be the underying disease process for all the symptoms you describe. You do NOT have to have risk factors in your past for getting it to have it, you can pick it up during surgery and many other situations ( ike nani salons)like I did. My doctors missed my Hep C for a time because I did not fit the "profile" of someone with Hep C but it turned out I did have it.
Please, get tested to make sure that isn't causing your health problems.
