large thymus in 8 mo. old son

On my sons x-rays it was discovered that his thymus gland is large and when blood work was done on his immune system everything came back low and one came back below normal. We are currently waiting on more blood work on his thymus and if it is functioning properly. The dr beleives it is not and that this is causing my sons constantly being sick. We were told that he has moderate asthma and GER also. Iam unable to find out much info on the thymus and what all of this means and possible treatments and what this could cause in the long run. I also would appreciate any recommendations to a childrens hospital, I was told mayo in minnesota is really good. If anyone has had or is currently having thymus problems please share any info you have with me .Thank You

I received his blood work results and it is
IgA 11
IgG 294
IgM 20

He said that everything is pretty low and the IgM is below normal. I have done what little research I could and found that this is extremely rare and there isn't much info available. I wonder if you could tell me the best place to take my son for a second opinion. Maybe somewhere they specialize in this. My pulmonologist wants to wait a couple of months and then recheck him. I am very scared that we are wasting time that could be used to help him. Please help.
