Thank you again for your support...it helps to talk to others..
I will be consulting with my GI dr.
Keep you water intake high because of all the fiber you are eating. Some physicians will instruct their patients to avoid things with seeds, popcorn and fatty fried foods. This isn't really 100% proven as being necessary, however, some physicians recommend it.
I would just make sure you are consulting your physician before "altering" your laxative med.
Plus the Colonoscopy/polyp removal could have aggravated your gut a bit.
Best to notify your GI Specialist about this.
Thank you....I am on a high fiber diet....GI dr. did not advise me to avoid certain foods..as far as water intake, good..
I would definitely be reconsulting the GI Specialist about your medication for the constipation especially with a diagnosis of Diverticulosis. I wouldn't be altering or switching "this and that" based off an internet recommendation/opinion for your safety.
How has your diet been? With this condition you should be avoiding certain foods. Water intake good? When taking a bulk laxative, i.e. metamucil, your water intake must be sufficient.
Before the colonscopy i was on Miralax..the GI doctor switched me to Metamucil.. I did not have trouble with constipation until i had the colonscopy...Metamucil gives me lots of gas so i started skipping days. I was diagnosed in 2009 with Hashimotos Thyroiditis and one of symptons is constipation.
The thought crossed my mind, but when i had the cat scan the report said, unremarkable in regards to the ovary..
If you have diverticulosis, that suggests constipation. Constipation can cause pain where you are describing it.
Try taking Miralax once a day. If that isn't enough, try it twice a day.
If Miralax is too strong to use all the time, switch to Metamucil.
The other possibility is this is GYN related, i.e. something with the ovary.
