muscle/limb problem ... involuntary movement?

Hi everyone

For about the last month or so I've been experiencing random, brief muscle twitches/spams. Basically, an arm, a hand, my shoulder, leg, etc etc might move an inch for a second or two and then stop. It can happen many times within a a few hours... it seems to happen everyday... but I only notice it when I'm at rest, and especially at the end of the day when I'm in bed. It keeps me up sometimes, just because I don't like the sensation. They are not painful though...

I don't notice them when I'm doing something or when I'm moving.

I don't know what brought these on. Before it started I was under a brief period of intense stress, where I would lose sleep and feel unwell. But I think that stress has been gone for at least a month...

Any ideas? I'm a bit worried about this!

thank you!

stress can cause muscle twitching and it often only happens when a person is relaxing.

Possibly a 'transient myokymia' and nothing more and should settle in time. Do consult your doc.
