Hi
Thanks for writing to the forum!
Your symptoms can be explained by an anxiety panic disorder. However there are a few things that must be ruled out before that. One is COPD or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, like asthma. Another possibility is high blood pressure. Third possibility is sleep disorders and snoring. Anemia and acidity too should be ruled out. You may need pulmonary function tests, chest X-rays, echo, and blood tests.

Until things are clear, it may help you to raise the head end of your bed or use 2 pillows.

It is difficult to comment beyond this at this stage. Please discuss these possibilities with your doctor and see what he thinks about it. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!

Have you had an echocardiogram to check your heart valves?  This is typical signs of heart valve problems.  The echo is just an ultrasound of the heart and a listen to the valve sounds.
