Have you had shortness of breath or "air hunger"?  Dull headaches?  Babesiosis is known to cause unexplained sweats, especially at night. It's caused by the parasite Babesia, which is a cousin of Malaria.   It's very hard to find in blood tests, so a negative result doesn't exclude it. You might do some research on it and see if it's a fit.( If you've had your spleen out it can be fatal.)

Good luck!

Here is just a small quote from Women's Health web site:  http://www.womens-health-questions.com/how-many-years-does-menopause-last.html

Menopause is as personal as the menstrual cycle and puberty itself are, making the time it takes to complete highly unpredictable.

By most estimates the majority of symptoms and the process itself takes from 2 to 10 years to complete but for some symptoms like hot flashes can last on into their 70s. On a more personal note there is a new product called i-cool, it's available at Rite-Aid, Walgreens along with a few other stores, It does help. I would however, call my GYN. and request that my hormones be checked. It may not be menopause, but a could be your Thyroid. My mother is going through that right now...she was dropping approximately lbs a week total of lbs in just a few short months...us kids had to have her Thyroid re-check., Just remember there is already a specialist on you case
and it's you. NO One knows your body as well as you do and if you think or feel as thought something is wrong...it most likely is, get as many onions as necessary until the cause is found. Best
