other symptoms

Hi Doc,

I have asked a question previously and have still not had any joy with a daignoses and have seen numerous doctors.
A new symptom that I have developed is white patches inside my cheeks?
Ive been to a doctor who said it could be a little Thrush but gave me tablets which has not helped.
These patches dont scrape off at all and are not painful. Its not hairy either are is also very "lacy" and spotted, looks very like Lichen Planus to me ?
I take an imodium every day to ensure I dont have diahhrea, can this do something?

Im still worried about all my symptoms, I have bad days where I have diahrrea and have no energy what so ever and only sleep.Other days are better but with no energy, sore muscles etc

My initial worry was HIV but had a elisa test 5 months after exposure which was negative and had 4 tests now from the start of all these symptoms, this should be ok?

Can you suggest something ?
And, what do you think is inside my cheeks?
I have had this now for about 3 months since I started Azopress, Doc took me off this but it has not helped

Doing a culture of the mouth lesions can be done to exclude a fungal infection.  I agree that HIV can lead to thrush, and should be tested for.  4 negative HIV tests would make this possibility very unlikely.

A biopsy of the lesion can be done for a more definitive diagnosis, and this can be discussed with an oral surgeon.

If the diarrhea continues, blood tests for celiac disease as well as a colonoscopy can be considered.

Followup with your personal physician is essential.
