Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Chest pain aggravated by laughing yawning and deep breathing goes more in favor of costochondritis, which causes pain and tenderness at points where your ribs attach to your breastbone.  The inflammation around the joint area gives sharp pain on taking a breath. This can also cause tenderness on pressing the area which pains. An orthopedic doctor can diagnose this for you. Generally there is no cause. However it can be due to infection, blow, injury, or fibromyalgia. It usually goes away on its own. Otherwise it can be treated with muscle relaxants, and non steroidal anti inflammatory drugs. It can also be muscle pull. Shingles can also start this way.
Pleuritis and Pulmonary embolism are other possibilities causing shortness of breath with chest pain. A CT scan of the chest can rule out both. Another possibility that can explain the pain is pericarditis. It causes chest pain aggravated by laughing yawning and deep breathing and also causes radiation of pain to arms. Again an EKG, heat echo and chest X-ray is required.
I think you should discuss these possibilities with your doctor. It is difficult to comment beyond this without examining. A comprehensive investigation is required keeping all the points in mind. Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!

I am suffering from the same problem, for me it started three days ago and I still have it.I don't know whether its on your right or left(Its on my left) but I can say that its not related to your heart, so relax. You can follow this guide line to know the cause. See if it hurts to apply pressure to your chest at the point of origin of pain. If it hurts to press your ribs or sternum then it is costochondritis . See if there are accompanied symptoms like swelling or change in color at the pain site. If swelling then it is tietze syndroms. If its none of the above two than its a muscle spasm. See if it hurts to press a muscle in between your ribs, the intercostal muscles. If its the intercostal muscle that hurts then its more likely a muscle spasm(well my itercostal muscle didn't hurt at all, I don't know what am I suffering from but I did so much research I thought why not help someone else). In case of costochondritis and tietze syndrome, contact a physician. If it is a muscle spasm take rest for a week. If taking rest didn't ease the pain then its time to see the doctor.( I personally think its a muscle spasm because you are only 20)
While taking rest do not think about the pain. Just forge it.
