pain in foot following surgery on shin

I had a fibroidoma removed from my shin followed by a skin graft.
Whilst there is some pain in both wounds it is easily managed with painkillers.
However since surgery my foot has been incredibly painful,
it feels similar to the sensation you get when a blood pressure cuff is pumped up too much,
my foot has intense pressure on it,especially if I put my weight on it,
even when lying down my foot feels  uncomfortable with a weird sensation of numbness across the foot and leading up into the toes,
I spoke to a nurse at plastics dressing clinic,
she suggested that MAYBE a nerve had been damaged during removal of fibroidoma,
will this pain ease and what is causing it?

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
There are various possibilities like pinched nerve due to surgery or inflammation of the veins and lymphatics post surgery. You will need nerve conduction studies and dopplar studies of the leg vessels to reach a diagnosis. Do consult your doctor. You may need to see a neurologist and a vascular specialist. Take care!
