Hi,

This seems like Tinnitus.
Its the perception of sound within the human ear in the absence of corresponding external sound. Tinnitus is not a disease, but a condition that can result from a wide range of underlying causes: neurological damage (multiple sclerosis), abnormally loud sounds in the ear canal for even the briefest period (but usually with some duration), ear infections, foreign objects in the ear, nasal allergies that prevent (or induce) fluid drain, or wax build-up.

Withdrawal from a benzodiazepine addiction may cause tinnitus as well. In-ear headphones, whose sound enters directly into the ear canal without any opportunity to be deflected or absorbed elsewhere, are a common cause of tinnitus when volume is set beyond moderate levels.

I believe in your case it could be due to a blocked Eustachian Tube (Inner Ear)  due to an infection or mucous build up.

Most Anti-histamine treatment given by Doctors never works on this. In fact too much of Histamines could cause Ear drum Vibrations.

I have been taking a Homeopathic medicine for right Eustachian tube issues. And after 4 days of taking them, all heaviness is gone!

Here are the medicines I took (15 Day Course):

1. MERC DULCIS 30 (Drops)
Take half a cup of water, put 3-4 drops in it and drink.
Take caution not to eat anything 30 minutes before or after it.

2. KALI MUR. 6x tablets
3-4 tablets, twice a day (Morning & Evenings)

The Drops reduces inflammation of the Eustachian tube membranes and also of Sinus linings. Resulting in Mucous flowing out. If any of you have chronic constipation, this will be a boon.

The tablets help in thinning the Mucous for its easy flow.
Make Sure Medication Is German (GMBH)

This information was given by practicing Homeopathic Doctors at: abchomeopathy.com/

This should work in your case also.
Good luck.

Regards,
Akshay

yes, i know what you mean. every time i go to a new doctor, i never tell them about ANY other doctors ive been to or what other doctors have said. I want their opinion/ diagnosis to be 100% uninfluenced by ANYTHING other than their own expertise and lab results. A totally unbiased opinion. If they already know what someone else has said, they may be inclined to just say, oh well that sounds good, and not bother to investigate as thoroughly or run their own tests. Doctors can sometimes be very lazy i have noticed so, if someone else has already done testing and diagnosing, they may be less inclined to do much if any of their own. Also, doctors in the same town often know each other and dont want to undermine or challenge their colleagues. then that totally defeats the purpose of getting a second opinion.

Tinnitus, (pronounced tih-NIGHT-us or TIN-ih-tus) is a ringing, swishing, or other type of noise that seems to originate in the ear or head. Most of us will experience tinnitus or sounds in the ears at some time or another.

According to the National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders (NIDCD), almost 12 percent of men who are 65 to 74 years of age are affected by tinnitus. Tinnitus is identified more frequently in white individuals, and the prevalence of tinnitus in the U.S. is almost twice as frequent in the South as in the Northeast.

Tinnitus can be extremely disturbing to people who have it. In many cases it is not a serious problem, but rather a nuisance that may go away. However, some people with tinnitus may require medical or surgical treatment. Twelve million Americans have tinnitus, and one million experience it so severely it interferes with their daily activities.

Tinnitus can arise in any of the four sections of the hearing system: the outer ear, the middle ear, the inner ear, and the brain. Some tinnitus or "head noise" is normal. A number of techniques and treatments may be of help, depending on the cause.

Some of the most common include a sound of crickets or roaring, buzzing, hissing, whistling, and high-pitched ringing.

Other types of tinnitus include a clicking or pulsatile tinnitus (the noise accompanies your heartbeat).

The most common type of tinnitus is known as subjective tinnitus, meaning that you hear a sound but it cannot be heard by others.

A much more uncommon sort is called objective tinnitus, meaning your doctor may sometimes actually hear a sound when he or she is carefully listening for it.

I have had this after my sinus issues started in 2007.
We in India follow Breathing Exercise called Pranayam.

Hi,
Have you seen a Neurologist?  I have and the Doctors still have not found anything.  Don't let the Doctors tell you that it is in your head, if you haven't found a good Doctor, keep looking.  I am still searching for a Doctor that will REALLY look into things and my symptoms, if they want to send you to a psychologist, I'm afraid that he will say it is mental but then your paperwork will follow you from Doctor to Doctor and things start to get more hopeless.  It could be anything from a tumor to MS or an infection.  It is important for you to start ruling things out.    Ginger
