problems from bites

About 8 weeks ago I found I’d been bitten 9 or 10 times all over my body. I did not feel them, or see what bit me at the time.
My right calf was very painful for a week then pain eased. But, I can put no pressure on the ball of my right foot. My left leg feels weak and consequently, I also have weakness in my right leg I have no strength in my left arm and I cannot grip with my left hand. The fingers on my left hand are curling in a sort of claw shape and there’s little flexibility, or grip. Also my left arm pulsates and twitches and my right arm has started doing that also. Recently my upper legs, just above the knee, are twitching as well and I have also felt twitches on my buttocks and shoulders. All these symptoms started to manifest slowly after I was treated like a banquet by whatever bit me!  Maybe the bugs think English meat is a delicacy! I was in Florida over the 4th July weekend and I stayed with friend who took me to the Orange County Medical Center in Orange County, Florida to the ER. They did blood work and gave me a cat scan, said they came out negative then sent me on my way! Also, while staying at my friend’s house I got three more bites, two on my right foot and one on my left foot. I’ve also noticed I have some red spots near and around my right armpit, not sure if these are bites, or some sort of rash. I cannot work as it is extremely difficult for me to climb up into the truck. I took it home to clear the truck out and when carrying something from the truck, I tripped, my legs collapsed and I hit the ground much like a belly flop in water, face down. I nearly knocked myself out and bruised my sternum I was very shaken and took two Advil and a further two later on. My chest is very painful, especially when I try to rise from a sitting position and I have cuts on my face. On July 14th I went to the Laredo Medical Center and they gave me another cat scan, more blood work, urine test, x-rays and an EKG test. All were negative

My daughter is experiencing the same sypmtoms.  She was at the University in Laredo during late June.  Now she is in bad shape with extreme leg pain, arm pain, hands are shaking and fingers and toes are curling up involuntarily.  She has lost hair and lots of weight.

My symptoms are not like Lyme Disease or tick, there is no pain, nausea, headaches at all, no inflammation just the weakness of my limbs and my left hand fingers curling in like a claw shape with no grip or flexibility

Difficult to say without knowing what bit you.

Any insect bite makes you susceptible to an infection, so this should be evaluated and treated for.

If there is joint pain and accompanying fatigue, you have to consider the possibility of tick bites and subsequent Lyme disease.  Blood tests can be done to exclude this.

These options can be discussed with your personal physician.
