No no. Numbing and tingling are NOT signs of a heart attack. Not at all. If you do not believe this, then read up on the symptoms of heart attack / failure. The numbness COULD be a sign of something else...which could be a NUMBER of things. Please DO get a second opinion. It does sound as though you are a "worrier" like myself and so many others. I too, have been in your position. (I am 53 years old) I have had alot of like symptoms you describe... all for the doctor to tell me it is anxiety and tension. I have been through a battery of tests, and three different doctors. When you can't figure out what is wrong, it IS SCARY! And so frustrating!
I am wanting to bet there is NOTHING seriously wrong with you. But, I would go to just one more doctor for another opinion. It does NOT sound like it's a heart problem at all.
When you have a SQUEEZING PAIN (in the middle of your chest)
OR SEVERE PRESSURE AND PROFUSE SWEATING....then it could be a heart attack. Or, if you have pain and pressure in the arm and shoulder area....it could be a heart attack. You are too young for a heart problem....UNLESS it is hereditary. If family members have a history of heart disease, then you need to be a little concerned in the future.
You are going to be OK. I will keep you in my thoughts, and wish you WELL!

if your regular MD isn't litsening to you then try another. i thik you need medical attention ASAP. numbing and tingling & arrythmia could be signs of a heart attack.
i am short of breath i had my thymus gland re3moved from my chest in february they had to colapse my lung during the surgery and ever since my surgery my right vocal cord is paralyzed so its hard to breathe and talk
you should go back to your md sounds to me like you are not getting enough oxygen. Did you have any tests done besides the echo test? Stress test was good? what about them checking your oxygen level with a pulse o2 they put it on your finger to see what your intake is. Are you short of breath? What about asthma these symptoms you desrcibe could be a basis for asthma. Heart flutters can be from not enough oxygen.. See a pulmonologist for breathing problems or go back to your md. God bless you and your little girl.
i know that anxiety can cause physical symptoms and i tried xanax for a couple of weeks with no releif just more tired i just want to be healthy again. if it is anxiety then why when i walk around the block or do pushups my heart flutters like crazy afterwards?
Stress and anxiety can cause actual physical symptoms like you describe. Why not try an anti anxiety medication and see if it helps? If it doesn't then you can keep searching for another answer. People often don't always realize these things can cause physical symptoms and can be extremely distressing.
