underlying cause of regular fever symptoms

Every 3-4 months I get fever like symptoms that last 48 hours, cant hold any food or liquids down and lapse in and out of consciousness could there be an underlying cause as its happening every few months

Hello~I would certainly see your GP regarding this.  You may have a hidden infection, but I would think if you did you would have symptoms all the time. I really can't say, but I truly feel that the sooner you see your doctor the sooner you can get this issue resolved.
