Hi,

We are pleased to announce the opening of a new Kidney Disease & Disorders community, located at http://www.medhelp.org/forums/show/229. We have had so many Kidney related questions across multiple forums that we decided this needed its own community. We hope you will visit.

My 26 yr old daughter has had her 2nd stent put in her right kidney. The first was two yrs ago and was left in for 2 weeks.  Horrible pain through the whole ordeal especially the night after it was removed.  This time it will be left in for 4 weeks and she again is in horrible pain.  Her urologist is telling her that she shouldn't be having any pain and therefore is pretty much blowing off her pain and the fact that after 3 weeks she is still urinating bright red blood.  Somehow, this just doesn't seem right to me and I'm very worried about her and what will happen when they take this out next week.  Thank you.
