Yohimbine and my genitals

I recently started taking yohimbine as a supplement to help me loose weight as part of my body building and exercise regimen.  Since taking yohimbine I've experienced a hypersensitive scrotum area and almost like "vicks vapor rub" feeling an hour after taking it in my scrotum area.  Also, the glans of my penis are more sensitive to touch.  Is this normal, an adverse event, or what?  Please educate me on the possible side effects of yohimbine.

Here are the major side effects of yohimbine:

Cardiovascular: Tachycardia, hypertension, hypotension (orthostatic), flushing

Central nervous system: Anxiety, mania, hallucinations, irritability, dizziness, psychosis, insomnia, headache, panic attacks

Gastrointestinal: Nausea, vomiting, anorexia, salivation

Neuromuscular & skeletal: Tremors

Miscellaneous: Antidiuretic action, diaphoresis

I am not aware of a hypersensitive scrotum being one of the significant side effects.  You may want to consider a scrotal ultrasound as well as tests for infection (urinalysis as well as STD testing) for further evaluation.

Followup with your personal physician is essential.
