the tip of my penis

Hello many years ago I tore the tip of my penis from the bottom of the pee hole down.  At first it wasnt that long.  I was the only one who could notice it. It never did heal.  Now my wife and myself was having sex about  a month ago and I felt a sharp pain at the tip of my penis.  We stop the intercouse I noticed the hole ripped even more. There was no blood though. Now it is really noticable.  It now has a rip at least 1/4 or more inch down the head of the penis. You can see the normal hole and then it looks like a slit down the head.  You are able to open it up and the spot is real big. I decided to go to a local urologiest.  He looked and said it is a normal hole.  I told him it ripped but he kept telling me it is a normal hole.  No matter what I told him he kept telling me its fine.  I myself knows that its not fine because it did rip and I dont want to it to rip more.  I want it to heal.  Can you tell me what I can do to make it heal please.

I am at a loss to give you further help without seeing the situation first hand. Try another urologist and get another opinion.

actually no its not the frenulum its actually the head. Its not the piece of skin connecting my head to the shaft its actually head.  It ripped from the urethra opening down the bottom side of the head.

I suspect that the issue is really that the frenulum ripped. This is a short piece of skin  that extends from the head of the penis onto the shaft on the underside of the penis. This skin appears to be a web and can extend almost up to the hole in the tip (meatus). With thrusting during sexual activity this web can rip and be quite painful. Often there is some bleeding. This can be corrected by a simple surgical procedure that can be done in the office with some local anesthesia. The meatus (”hole”) is not damaged, just the skin web. If you stretch the underside of the head, you may see a raw area a millimeter of two wide.
Apply antibiotic ointment such as bacitracin and avoid any sexual activity until it is completely heealed (about a week to 10 days).
