NAC N-Acetyl Cysteine

Hi, I recently got these vitamins from my Holistic Dr because he recommend me to take them for constantly being congested due to seasonal allergies. I have the NAC N-Acetyl Cysteine by the brand Xymogen.  Has anyone ever tried these? Are there are any serious/possible side effects?

Thanks!

N-Acetyl Cysteine (NAC) side effects include:

Stomach upset
Diarrhea
Nausea
Vomiting
Fatigue
Irritation of the conjunctiva of the eyes
Skin rash
Less commonly reported side effects include low blood pressure, anaphylactic shock, asthma attacks, and headache

If you experience any of these symptoms after starting NAC then discontinue use.

N-Acetyl Cysteine (NAC), is a metabolite of cysteine, a non-essential amino acid that is both found in foods and synthesized by the body from the amino acid methionine.

Cysteine is found in most high-protein foods, including:

Animal sources: pork, sausage meat, chicken, turkey, duck, luncheon meat, eggs, milk, whey protein, ricotta, cottage cheese, yoghurt

Plant sources: red peppers, garlic, onions, broccoli, brussels sprouts, oats, granola, wheat germ, lentil

I forgot to add that I read somewhere that It can cause allergic reactions if you are allergic to Acetyl Cysteine. How would you know if you're allergic to it, if you've never taken it before? is this found in other foods or medications?
