Appetite.. Manage feeling hungry....?

Well, I definitely have gotten into better shape.. lost approx 44 lbs since starting a year and half ago, along with quitting smoking just before starting the work out program, so I do feel as though I have came along way.
We (wife and I) work out 5 times week (split cardio and weight regimen).

I do track my calories, but seem to be slow to lose additional pounds, or slower than I would like. I tend to get hungry later on in the evenings (after dinner and such), probably post 7 pm or so, and this is probably is what is hindering my ability to lose faster..

Any hints, tips, or tricks on managing hunger or the urge to nibble?

Congratulations - 44 pounds in 1.5 years is a very healthy rate to lose weight, and I bet you'll keep it off.  But you make a great point that at some point, you start to plateau - which can be very frustrating.  Sometimes it's helpful to change things up a little bit, with respect to your exercise regimen, or even how you approach food.  Those late night snacks could definitely be playing a role too.  You might find that eating dinner a bit later can help with this, or making a practice to drink plenty of fluids with (or after) dinner.  Getting into the habit of enjoying soup and/or salad with dinner has also been shown to reduce appetite over the next several hours - could be worth a try.  Keep it up!

Are you limiting your calories too much?
I've heard that adding protein to a meal can curb hunger.

Well done on your changes.

It's intimidating posting comments on an expert's forum.
