Huge Weight Loss Needed!!!

I'm confused, I have been trying to lose weight for about 2 years. I started out at 285, wanting to get to 225-240. I'm 6'1", I have tried everything from Atkins, to HCG. Even to the point I got a job at 24 Hour Fitness for the free membership. I am now at 350, and I can't seem to lose any weight.  I have been to my doctor for the past year because of the weight gain. I have been tested for everything you can imagine, thyriod, even MRI's to see if I a brain tumor, or a tumor on my pituitary gland.  I dont know what to do next, the only loss I have seen was HCG 18lbs, but I felt like I was starving myself. Any advice?

I agree with Jaquta - I would try to concentrate less on the difficulties you have had in the past, and start with a clean slate.  Think about what you are eating, and if you are overeating, why you are doing so.  Write it down.  Make a small commitment that you know you can keep for starters.

You might like to check out the doctor's earliest blog for some tips.
Keeping a food diary can sometimes be beneficial and is always a good place to start.
There also needs to be a balance between energy in and energy out (or rather a deficit in order to lose weight).

What kind of foods are you eating?  Are you an emotional eater?  Maybe you just need to go back to the basics.
