I would definitely endorse getting adequate sleep.
I have had limited hours sleep for several months now and despite exercising have been unable to lose weight plus have put it on. I blamed it on stress (because my cousin was killed just before Christmas) but I think it is due to lack of quality sleep.
If it were me I would monitor what I was eating. I would probably decrease (slightly) the number of calories I was consuming for the first week.
I would try some weight training and interval training sessions. These seem to shred the pounds very effectively. (And don't require a gym.)
You may just need to change some things around a bit. Try a different exercise or a different version of an exercise you're already doing.
I saw a program the other day where this person lost 19 kg in 8 days.
He was trapped in his car following a MVA and didn't have access to food or water.
He was very, very sick.
I would not recommend not eating or drinking but I think sometimes eating smaller meals more regularly can help. I like the use of healthy snacks between meals or after workouts.
Over a period of time you should become aware of things that work best for you. You might need to play with it a bit. Enjoy the process and have fun with it.
