rapid heart beat

I ran a marathon about three weeks ago; I am 35 years old and so far apart from gestational diabetes I do not have any other health issues. But after the marathon noticing rapid heart beats; everything came back normal (ekg and blood work) excpet for lymphocytes which is 23 (ref range is 25-41); WBC is 72.

Doctor says nothing is wrong with me, but this is worrying me and I *really* would like to run again.

Thanks

It is unlikely that running the marathon would have caused any significant structural changes in your heart that would lead to rapid heart rates.  It may be helpful to have your doctor put you on a heart monitor so that the actual rates can be measured - it will give you both a better idea of what may be going on!

Also wanted to know if stress can contribute to reduced lymphocytes count ?

Thanks

Thanks for the reply.

Should I be concerned about the lymphocytes count (it is 23; recommended is 25-41); everything else is normal (CBC/realine/EKG and other metabolic blood tests)
