The father of my child wants me to get an abortion because I want to break up with him because he wants to run my life and not care about how I feel. I don't like abortion to me if it's not a life or death situation then it shouldn't be done

Hi there. Always hard in these situations and sorry you are going through this. I think men will suggest abortion because in their mind, it makes what they consider to be a 'problem' go away. And for some women, it is what they want as well and it works.
But if you don't believe in abortion for yourself, then it is not an option for you. YOU get to decide as it is your body hon.
If you plan on keeping the baby, just come up with a plan for how you can manage it on your own. Maybe he'll come around and maybe he won't, but you want to be prepared either way.
And there is also always the choice of adoption which can be really beautiful for all involved.

He doesn't need to be involved in your child's life. Especially if he doesn't value your baby's life. Sounds like a good time to go your own way.

I don't think it really matters what he wants. He can't make you have an abortion and he can't make you stay with him. sounds like you and the baby would be better off without him anyway. I know it's hard leaving some one like that though.
