Hi,

Thank you good ladies! I have started exercising, and have reduced my sugar intake. My Father in law, who practices alternate medicines, adviced vibrations on my left thumb, which probably helped and there is no swelling on my face now.

Thanks for your kind advice and help

Regards

Hi there
Definitely set aside more time just for you and try to get out and get more exercise whether it be a walk for 20 minutes around your neighborhood or some gardening or a bike ride.  Exercise helps immensely.  Consider taking more of the B vitamins which help greatly with stress and try to eat better.  But definitely get in to see a doctor to get his/her input and have HBP ruled in or out.  Good Luck to you.

You certainly should see a doctor, but simple high blood pressure shouldn't cause half of your face (including your eye) to swell.

Test your bp (you can find free machines at most drug stores) to do a simple quick check.  While these machines aren't perfect, they are good for a general reference.

I feel your stress.  I'm in the same boat and I already have high blood pressure--it is now getting worse and worse.  I don't have any symptoms from it.

I wish I had advice on how to destress life.  I have to look now at my good friend and co-worker who worked her fanny off all her life (she's only 43) with a fulltime job and 5 children--she had a brain hemmorhage last week and is in a coma.  The family is devastated and being torn apart.  Then I take a deep breath and thank God that I am relatively healthy and able to function, and try to look for ways to make my life happier.

I'm not always successful, but no one else is trying to make my life easier and happier, so I'd better step up and do it myself.  Life is truly too short to live it in a fog of misery and unhappiness.  I have a hard time expressing what I want, but after what happened to my friend I'm finding it easier.

Good luck and check back in!
