Brown discharge after regular period

Hi.
I had my period on Janurary 1/2. It was a normal cycle. I haven't had sex. I have been noticing that i have been having a dark brown discharge. I took a preganancy test and it is negative, What could this mean?

I'm 14 and I have this same problem, like i will be on my period for a bit over a week (I'm quite heavy) and about 1 day or two after my period had stopped, a brown discharge was coming out it goes on for about a week normally (in fact it's happening now!) I came off my period about half a week ago, maybe a bit more and there is a brown discharge, so I'm wearing pantie liners to prevent it from staining my underwear. It's just old blood, but if it starts itching, getting uncomfortable or starts getting a terrible odor, tell your mam or guardian, and book an appointment for the doctors, they may give out tablets to prevent the problem from happening :)
I hope this helped.

This is normal discharge that can occur at the beginning and/or at the end of your period.  It is not something over which to worry.  I have had the same discharge nearly every period since I was a teenager & I'm in my early 30's now.  You're fine!
