Chronic Bacterial Vaginosis

I have had chronic bacterial vaginosis for the past 7 years.  I think I had it longer with no symptoms.  I first noticed it after leaving my ex husband and met a new man.  Once we were sexually active without condoms,  I noticed a foul odor during sex.  I went to the doctor, got the antibiotics and it came back after my cycle.  I gave up on going to the doctor after a year and treat my symptoms with natural remedies now but it never goes away.  Does anyone else have this problem?

i have had bacterial vaginosis for probably 5 years....like once a year!  The only thing that helps me is going to the gyno to get a prescription for Metronidazole gel.  It really works i think the last infection i had was about 1year and a half ago and they said there is not real cause for why women get it other than some women have a higher pH than others and its just something you'll have to deal with.  The only concern with it they have is if your pregnant because you cant have an infection when you give birth because you can pass it to your child.  Other than that though theres not much to worry about!

Yes, I have been tested for everything and each test came back negative except for BV.  I have tried changing my diet, I actually went to a no meat totally vegetarian diet for about a year.  I get BV even when I don't have sex and believe me, sometimes it can be six months to a year before I have sex, who wants to have sex with that sort of smell down there.  I can take antibiotics and it will take care of the problem until I finish my period, as soon as I finish my period it is right back and it starts all over again.

Have you been tested for std's? If i had bv chronically i would go to a nautropath Dr and see about changing my diet, also I would get the man checked out because i know a man can keep passing a yeast infection back to you and maybe start using condoms
