Embarrassing problem

Ok, this is really embarrassing. I am only 27 but I think I might be leaking a little bit of urine. I don't think I am incontinent per se because I don't leak urine when I laugh or anything or have a loss of bladder control, but I think I have urine on my underwear because (sorry if tmi) it gets wet and smells like urine! Is this normal? I have never had children, I just feel like something might be wrong.

Hi there. I learned at school that 25% of women leak urine sometimes. And in older women (like over 60 or 70) the rate is really really high. So it is really common and you should not be embarassed to ask your GYN doctor about this. She should be able to help you. And if she blows it off, you should find someone else. There are doctors that specifically focus on urine related stuff. Good luck!

I used to do the same thing and had to wear panty liners all of the time and that gets old.  What worked for me is good old fashion kegals (sp).  The muscles you use to start/stop the flow of urine....do those anytime you think about it, like stuck in traffic, waiting on hold on the phone or just watching TV.  It really does work and has the extra benefit of stronger orgasms!

Best of luck
