How do I get rid of my period?

How do I get rid of my period? I'm 44 and have no desire for children. I'm diabetic so I'm don't want to go back on the pill. I asked my Gyn about endometrial ablation and she told me that procedure was not recommended for me as I don't have severe symptoms.

Most natural way is to go through menopause.  Which you are not too far away from.

You could take hormones but that would be essentially like taking the pill.

There's always a hysterectomy but you're unlikely to get that without other symptoms.

So unless you want to take some hormones, it's probably not going to happen.
