If you're worried that you have toxic shock syndrome, you don't. That usually only happens after 16-18 hours of having a tampon in, and once you get it, you'd be deathly ill within hours. I have left a tampon in for more than 7 hours and I've always been fine. I'm not a medical professional, but you probably just have cramps or just are in pain when you insert a tampon, which is normal. Hope this helps!
