Ive heard of sore breasts being common but sore nipples....

I woke up this morning and pit on my house robe. When it hit my nipples it hurt SO bad. It felt like a combination of on fire and like there were clamps on them. I did have one nipple pierced for not even a week. The pain feels similar but so  much worse. Any idea what its from or how to make it not hurt so bad?

I couldnt make it in to the dr. (you need to be at the clinic an hour before it opens if you want to be seen within the first hour.) If it gets anyworse Ill go to emerg.

The dr. always says you dont need a mammogram till your 40. I think thats ****. Im 20 and I think, why not start now. I have heard of people having breast cancer before the age of 40. ITs big in my family too. I havent got one done yet but painful or not, health matters. I have a cousin who is also 20, sexually active and wont go for a pap because she is uncomfortable with it. Crazies I tell ya.

I think is always good to get a proffessionals opinion whenever questionable health issues arise...so is good idea your going to see someone.
Probably good time to have your mammies grammied!
Don't listen to those who tell how painful this can be.
Isn't always the case for everyone, but for some it can be very painful.
But what is more painful? Having your mammies squeezed a bit
or breast cancer? Then you'll find out what pain truly is!
My neighbor friend ignored getting this done for many years. Now she's paying the price and has radical surgery...typical breast CA treatment...Slash burn and poisen! No fun!
Keep me posted...would like to know what dr says, suggest...
oh...have you been drinking excess amount of coffee/caffeine anything?
That can be a culprit for breast issues, lumps and pain
Some drs suggest doing your breast exame with light silk scarf over your breast.
It helps with "searching" for some reason...but who knows what is best.
Good luck!

I havnt worn anythign braless. The only time my bra is off is when Im sleeping and I dont move around in my sleep.

I went off nuvaring birth control on October 7th. I was supposed to get my period usually a couple days later but only passed 2 tiny little clots the morning of the 12th, like I was getting my period but that was it. Nothing more. I took a pregnancy test last tuesday the 20th and it was negative. I took it because I had been having stomach pains like I had ripped muscles (thought it was pregnancy pains, but now its fins so  I think it was just a torn muscle) I have also been REALLY swollen. My rings that are usually loose are real tight on there that I cant wear it. I also thought I could be because my pants are tighter in my stomach area the past week and a bit but Ive also been baking lots so that explains that!

I started prenatal vitamins on October 7th and have ben taking folic acid for over a month now. I think I might just go in tomorrow as I was planing on donating blood on tuesday and want to make sure everything is ok.

I thought this piercing was recent...my bad...sorry.
If I had to guess....did you wear a bra or went bare breasted with shirt over top that rubbed them raw/causing irritation
other factors one must consider...."your tiime of month"....few days prior to your period, nipples can get sore....but swelling twice their size...now thats a little odd.

Sore nipples and/or sore breasts are something you may experience at various times in your reproductive cycle
Could you be preggers???
Have you taken or gone off birth control...or taken hormones.
There's so many reasons this can happen and they can mean various things depending on what’s going on in your body at that time.

I would go to a gyne doc have them checked out for sure, you can wait a few days, but if they're not any better or are worse, then get in right away.
Hope is nothing...but as I recall...there' could be something due to glands/ducts under your arms....or a conditon that causes this...I'd need to do some researching to find it.
Take care.

forgot to ask....I'm wondering if you had both nipples pierced but only one "took" but then
had it removed....but no matther what, I'm guessing that both nipples got poked, thus giving germs a path into both breast and is reason they've swollen, burning and hurting.
Put Ice on them for now and seek medical help.

My nipple has been healed from the piercing for over a year. Should I still see a doctor ASAP? Let me know as my only time to go will be early in the morning.

Get to your doctor before it spreads to the flesh eating MRSA.
Starts out small...and YES...MRSA is very painful!
Not good,. but is what happens with body peircings not done
in sterile environment or unclean utinsels
Anytime you open the skin...germs then have a path into your body.
If there's pathogenes present...they love dark moist areas to grow in,
Hope you get help soon...and if you get fever and chills...
get to the ER pronto!
Good luck...you're gonna need it!
