Multiple symptoms caused by one condition?

I had a c-section with an epidural 6 months ago.  Since then I have had pain and building pressure in my lower back, Headaches that feel different than your run of the mill headache.  Extreme muscle fatigue as well as over all general fatigue.  Also I have had hair loss on my head but I am growing more hair on my face and have had unusual periods - I have been using the nuva ring since I had my son but I will start my period before I even take the ring out.  Please I need answers, taking care of a newborn is hard enough without all this going on too.

Hi,

I had a c-section about 8 yrs ago and an epidural on top of that.. I'm NOT a pro or anything but jst want to try to help.. :) I've worked in hospitals b4 and a pre-nursing student.. but here's from my experience and what I found out.. the headache can be a long term effect of the epidural as well as hair loss.. I didn't experience the hair loss but definitely felt the pain everywhere as well as in my lower back.. the general body fatigue from my experience is from giving birth, having c-section, lack of sleep and taking care of an infant.. it takes a toll in our body.. Regarding ur facial hair growth and unusual periods, I made a little research about it and I don't know how old u r but according to CNN.com it can be due to aging and hormonal changes or if the hair loss and facial hair growth is excessive accompanied by deepening of the voice and menstrual cessation it might be due to a disorder called Hirsutism.. so, maybe u can research more about that disorder and ask ur OB/GYN about it and maybe she would refer u another specialist.. hope this helps :)

I can relate I had most of the same symptoms after I had my son with the exception of the hair loss and unusual periods. At my first appt after I had the baby my doc told me my hormones were out of wack from having the baby. A lot of my friends have also have the same problem but the only common bond we could find were epidurals and male children.

these can be long term effects of having an epidural.

im not sure about the hair loss and hair on your face....and unsual periods...that kinda sounds like your having a hormone issue.

i would see a doctor.
