My period won't stop??

I'm 21, no kids, and not on any meds. I'm curious as to what could make my period last for more than two months almost. My periods are far from regulated anyway, but I'm bleeding non-stop almost. I'll have maybe two or three days of peace and then Aunt flow comes to visit once again. They're light most of the time and heavy the other. Should I seek medical attention, is this dangerous to my health, or its this something that happens to every woman at a point in life?? Help please!!

Hey!

I'm not a doctor or anything but I had a similar problems. I'd literally have heavy on going periods for months at a time. I had a hormone inblance... I'm now regulated by birth control.   For me it's made a huge difference.  I'd seek medical advice if you have a gynecologist or pcp

A sign of what though. That's what I'm trying to figure out? I'm going to go see a doctor, but I would like to know what are some possibilities?
