I was on contraceptives and this started to happen... I bled for 5 months and since have bled several different times for months at a time... I refuse to go back on contraceptives since I never had a problem until they put me on them... and then switched them 9 times to try to make me stop in the 5 months... when I finally stopped taking them I stopped bleeding...

I definitely agree you need to see a Dr ASAP... you might need a D&C like I did. Also, you may need iron treatments like I did. (But I'm a redhead who's anemic anyways)

After bleeding heavily for a month now I started taking Vitex and already I'm noticing tons of improvements... I went from extremely heavy bleeding to just spotting now (after less than a week) I'm praying for a baby too...and this is my last resort before seeking invasive medical help. Hope it works!

Hope you stop bleeding soon!

Hi I am so sorry to hear of your issues. Are you anemic or being checked for anemia? I had the depo shot and had the same reaction to it. I bled heavily for three months straight, and I became so anemic they put me in the hospital and gave me a blood transfusion. I know what your going through is scary but you need to go to your doctor and if having symptoms where you are getting really weak and lethargic go to ER. This is what I did.
I pray for you to have a good outcome, plz keep us posted.

When I had the Depo injection I bed constantly for 51 days, had a few days off and started again for another couple weeks. I went to the docs and they sorted it out by starting me on the contraceptive pill which regulated my periods. I know you want to get pregnant but maybe your doctor could do this or similar for you, and once you were regulated, come off them. It may not work for everyone but it worked for me, so maybe worth a go. Also as your bleeding so much make sure you are eating sufficient iron, lots of red meat and green leafy vegetables, alternatively ask your GP about iron supplements.
