Odd Periods - please help!

Right, I dont know if im posting this in the right section, im completely new to this.  Im desperate for help about this but I do not want to see my doctor as I have a bad history with him and basically I just plain dont like him. Im gonna be as detailed as possible here so sorry if its gross!

I stopped having periods about a year ago, just completely stopped.  I never seen my doctor about it I just never thought anything of it (stupid I know). Then not so long ago I started bleeding again but with no cramps at all. I would bleed constantly for weeks then stop for a week then start again.

About a month or 2 ago the bleeding started to get VERY heavy, im going to try and describe this as best as I can but it started coming out as long thick pieces of 'goo', they are very dark red almost black. They kind of look like jelly only long and thick.  I know this is gross but I touched it and it sort of burst and blood came out so their kind of like little sacs of blood?. I feel stupid describing this but I can feel them coming out of me and i have to quickly run to the bathroom and take care of it, its getting so annoying now.  This morning when I woke up my bed was covered in blood and I looked down and a huge blob of this goo just fell out of me and then loads of blood just started dripping from me all over my floor, I was so scared, thats why im seeking help.  The amount of goo that came out this morning probably would have filled a coffee mug.  I dont know what to do about this, at first I thought it was old blood from when I didnt have my period for a year but now its getting out of control, its so disgusting feeling it come out and the texture of it is gross.

Does anyone have ANY idea what in the world this is? I'd appreciate any sort of reply/help.

Also, im 22, Im not very healthy I must admit I smoke and dont excerise much.....I very rarely have sex, but its always protected.

Sorry this is so long!

I couldn't imagine what your problem could be but I urge you to see a doctor. Maybe not the one you don't like but please see another doctor.  This truly sounds like something a doctor needs to look into.
