Painful spot under arm

Hi, I have developed a painful spot under my left arm over two days. I am in good health, so its a mystery. Does anyone know the cause of it? and if its serious?

Thank you.

Is it in the armpit?  Could be a lymph node.  Sometimes they will become enlarged, red, or painful if you have been exposed to some kind of infection.  If it persists or gets worse, see your doctor to find out for sure.
