Reoccuring Yeast infections

Hello everyone...
Ok my question is how do i completely stop a yeast infection from coming back? I have been to the doctor twice in the past 6 months and prescribed diflucan 2 times. I have taken monistat one time. However it seems that after a few weeks the symtoms come back slowly. I dont wear tight pants and only cotton panties. I am however taken yaz birth control... could that be it? yeast infections are a side effect of that... i dont know.. if anyone could help me that would be great..
-Have a blessed day

And I believe it mistook my saying something advising for a curse lol. Don't wash out the inside of the vagina excessively then, in other words. You will throw off the good bacteria.

I am on my second or third in three months or so, and it is annoying. The advice given to me; don't wash around down there unless with dove soap, don't ******, wipe front to back after urination and such, go commando to bed or wear boys cotton boxers for breathing air, non scented pads and liners, enough lubrication during intercourse, and don't wear a wet bathing bottom for too long. About all I can recall. Here's to making them go away!

Some women are more likely to have frequent yeast infections. Like me for example, and I don't take birth control. I take diflucan every month to every two months. LOL just try keeping the area dry, cotton panties are good, no scented soaps or tampons. No scented lotions or liners and maybe changing your birth control would help also. Just remember it could always be worse.

I too got them a lot while on Yaz.  I switched to Loestrin and still got them frequently.  But they were reduced when I started wiping my vagina a few times a day with a tissue and water only in addition to bathing daily.  Drying with a blow dryer after showers and keeping the area dry through the day.  Salt baths seemed to help some too.

You also are at higher risk if you are diabetic and have sex frequently.
