Skipped placebo pills, started new pack, and still got period!! Help!

ok, maybe you all can help me. I posted about this a few weeks ago. long story short i am going on vacation this week. so, i wanted to skip my period or delay it whichever. so instead of taking my placebo pills starting yesterday I just went right into a new pack of pills. this morning I got my period or something like it. like its more brownish like how it would be at the end of your period and its pretty light. Will it just be light like this for the rest of the week or will it just eventually go away with me continuing to take the pill. I really want a period free vacation and this is putting cloud on already.

Also, I take Microgestion Fe 1/20 which is a monophasic pill so the same hormone level all the way throughout the pill pack. I was off of my birth control for about a month due to change in insurance. so,  i just started back again in March. So, I know my body is use to the hormones.

I have been on birth control for 2 months. Had some complications so my Dr. Switched me to a different brand and told be to take the rest of my active pills and take new pills starting that Sunday (which meant skipping the sugar pills) I still got my period but it is during the first week of the active pills of the new pack (which would have been my normal time if I took the sugar pills). Is this going to mess me up for the rest of the month and am I unprotected against pregnancy for this month?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
It looks like breakthrough spotting due to taking the pills continuously. In future if you are to delay your menstrual cycles just 1 day prior to your menstrual cycles, you have to take progesterone only pills like Norethisterone. It is usually started two- three days before a period is due and then taken for the next seven days and then stopped, when normal vaginal bleeding will take place. You can talk to your gynecologist and get it prescribed as it is better to take it under medical supervision.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
