Spotting straight after period

I finished my period on Sunday but have had light spotting over the past two days. This also occured last month but spotting is unusual for me unless I'm under extreme physical stress or I'm not eating properly.

Last month I wasn't entirely stress free but I was eating regularly, this month with work I've not been able to eat until the very late evening and have been carrying heavy equipment for most of the day.

I'm producing a thick discharge that has tiny streaks of blood in it but it doesn't last long and becomes tinier and browner in colour later in the day but it doesn't occur regularly.

Is the spotting just hormone and stress related or should I be worried it's a little more serious? Two months in a row has me worried a little bit.

Hello,
Such spotting could also mean that for whatever reason during your last menses the entire uterine lining failed to make a timely exit. In some cases however there is cause for concern like  cervical cancer, pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID), menopause, or sexually transmitted diseases like gonorrhea and  Chlamydia .You should consult a gynecologist who will physically examine the local area and do investigations.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

HI,
Mild spotting can be because of hormonal and stress issues. But it can also be due to local factors in the cervix and the vagina like cervical erosion, polyps etc. If it recurs, then it would be best to consult a gynaecologist for an internal examination and Pap smear.
Hope this helps.
