Validity of OPK

Hi, everyone. I was wondering ig anyone has ever had any problems with the Answer tests? I am currently at cycle day 7 and only 2 days past af. I never take a test this early because I don't o till cycle day 17. I took one today and both lines are even in color. The strange thing is I can barely get the line to even show up before cycle day 14. So whats up with the test today? Has anyone experinced this or anythng like it? I would appreciate any help you could give.

Thanks for your response. I did take a hpt and I am unsure of the results. So you actually got a positive on a opk really early? I am not really sure what to think, My period was a little bit different, but it was the same length of time. It actually started out weird. I usually spot the day before I am to start and I did, but instead of it getting heavy the next day, it almost seemed it wasn't going to start. Finally half way through the second day my flow increased, then slowly started fading until it completely stopped the morning of the 5th day. I haven't felt sick, but I have been having alot of headaches and I  seem to always be hungry. I am so confused. I may try testing again with fmu tomorrow. Thanks again for your advise. Brandy

I was just wondering ws your hpt a definite + or was it really faint? I took one this afternoon and I think it was a very very faint +. But if I was pg I would be 5 wks, shouldn't it be darker and easier to see? I hope you can help, I am really confused right now. I would love to be pg, had a m/c last mar, but I had accepted I wasn't pg because of having my af. Thanks

I don't know if you are aware of peeonastick.com, if not go there and look up using opk as hpt.  It explains about the false opk positives, something to do with the hCG hormones (she explains it really well).  I don't want to get your hopes up, but I would definitely do another hpt with fmu.  If you got a line at all on the hpt within the time you are probably pregnant.  Good luck and let us know!!!
