What's going on down there?

Hi there, I am not so clued up with this sort of thing.  I was suppose to have my lady's time of the month last week and started wednesday but it was more like spotting and if there was any blood it was very little. The cheapest time of the month ever hehehehehe. i was extremely moody and short-tempered the week before and during the week and have mellowed down this week.  And last week i was craving food like it was going out of fashion, toasted tomato and cheese sandwiches and mac donalds Bic Mac and chocolate.  And i ate until i was stuffed and normally i cant eat a whole big mac meal thus having leftovers! the monday before my lady stuff started my breasts looked like cannon balls and they were even firmer than usual by the time my lady stuff was due. i also had faint lower back pain.  Now i know certain symptoms do occur close to your period and during ovulation so that i can bare with but to me it just felt weird and on top of it my period has never been so weak!  I have had a lot of stress and i was extremely down over the festive season so that can also contribute to it and i was also told that my cravings can be a result of something my body is lacking. I have also bad cramps which i never had before.  Was uncomfortable which is normal but this was sharp and consistent pains.  any advice, suggestions would be greatly appreciated! thank you in advance!

Thank you for getting back to me, i really do appreciate it!  I went tosee my gp on friday. She has taken some blood tests and i will only be getting the ressults Monday (tomorrow).  She also did a sonar but nothing came up so she said it could still be too early to see something so we had to do the blood test.  I will keep you posted on what happens AND once again, thank you for the advice and for replying to my post!  :) Take care

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
These can be the symptoms of pregnancy and the  spotting can be due to implantation bleeding or corpus luteum defect. However to confirm the status of pregnancy, I suggest you to test for pregnancy by a highly sensitive pregnancy test 10 days post ovulation with a sensitive ( 20 - 25 mIU ) pregnancy test. Also then I would suggest you to get your serum HCG levels estimated since this is more specific than urine for pregnancy tests.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
