Yeast Infections

I'm 19 years old and got my first yeast infection about 9 months ago. Of course, I went to a Gyno to check up and got a pill that got rid of my infection. Sadly, my yeast infection came back! Not only once but a few more times after that! I've gone to the store and picked up some Monistat which worked, but my yeast infection continued to come back. I'd like some advice on what I could do to stop this from happening. It's a horrible thing to deal with :( And I just want it to go away for good!

Hi there

Are you in a relationship??

If you are then your boyfriend may also have the infection and is reinfecting you each time . He needs to have cream to clear it up too!

If you are not sexually active then I can only assume you are overwashing yourself down there.  Do not soak in the bath for long periods of time with bubble bath and don't douch inside your vagina and don't use tampons at all. Wear cotton knickers and use sanitary towels.  your vagina is self cleaning inside so you only need to wash the outside .

Hope this helps
