Yeast infection? Herpes? Something else?

I am a college student who is now in the escort business. About 4 days ago I had a client who fingered my vagina for about 5 minutes. He was pretty rough. The next morning my inner lips were really sore (they are pretty long and often get shoved into my vaginia during intercourse/fingering). I thought it was from "roughness" and ignored it. Later that day I became very itchy and red, with a very warm sensation. I thought it was a yeast infection and grabbed some monistat 1 day. I used it on friday and today is sunday and my symptoms have greatly improved. However I am still a little red, slightly itchy and my inner lips are still somewhat sore and swollen and when I looked at myself I noticed what kinda looks like bumps (super tiny right along the botton of my vag hole...3 or 4 of them) at the opening to my vag. They are almost inside my vag, they do not hurt but they itch a little and are red. They have been there since friday and have not gotten any better/worse. I'm not even sure if they are part of this or the make-up of my vag. It does not burn to pee and there was little discharge before I used the monistat, and it was lumpy and white. My question(s) are...do I have herpes? Could I have caught something from under this guys nails? (He's married and we used protection except unprotected oral, but my mouth is fine...never had a cold sore). The itchyness is concentrated right at the opening of my vag and if it weren't for the itchyness I would be fine right now. I'm mainly freaked out about herpes, which I have read is often confused for yeast infections. PLEASE HELP!!!!

I went to the hospital today because I have a burning sensation and pain that comes and goes on my right side of my outer lip on my vagina and the doctor told me it sounds like the first symptoms of herpes but I don't have any bumps or sores so then I went to another doctor and she said I have vaginitis and not to worry about it being herpes because if I have been having this pain for three days now then I should have a bump or blister by now but she also said to get a blood test if I wanted to no for sure.I'm scared because I have a boyfriend and I cheated with someone else a week ago. She gave me a diflucan pill for yeast infections and the burning has left but the pain is still there. Can you tell me what you think please?

I got herpes from someones mouth on my vagina 4 yrs ago. My symptoms started like yours exactly, but the herpes sores themselves were like tiny white mouth ulcers to look at and absolute agony, no matter what position I held myself in. And peeing was agony too. Other times though, rough sex has left me with just your symptoms (no herpes sores). Sounds just like friction burns, if you had herpes sores you would know about it I think!

You really need to get checked out...if you are a professional prostitute you owe it to your future customers to make sure you are 100% clean. Though your symptoms didn't show up until after your encounter, there are certain things that can incubate for anywhere from 10 days to several months. If someone takes a disease home to their wife you could be sued.

You are taking a massive risk not using oral protection...there are dental dams on the market...there are also "finger condoms".

Herpes can be transmitted without any symptoms. Care enough about yourself to get a medical opinion...in your profession guesswork could be dangerous not only to your customers but possibly your future fertility.

Sounds like what I have had MANY times. The bumps seem to just go along with a yeast infection at times. I often get them, along with the swelling and terrible itching, when I have a yeast infection. It usually takes a good 2-4  days for the yeast infection medicine to really show strong improvements in your condition. But if you still feel unsure, go to the doctor -- better to be safe than sorry :)

I have had the samw thing happen to me... with the whole roughness and the burning and redness after foreplay.  I was scared a little.  I did not get bumps at all but I did go to the GYNO about the redness and nothing was wrong... just a bit irritated.  See a GYNO about the bumps... bumps like that around that area dont sound good.

Well, no one here can tell you what you've got, or what is wrong.  You need to see a doctor, preferably while the bumps/symptoms are still present so a more accurate diagnosis can be made.
You can listen to all the theories/ideas in the world here, and they are all meaningless.  The only way to find out what's going on is to see a doctor.  You're in a high risk business, so develop a good relationship with your gynecologist rather than getting strangers to try to guess what's wrong.

Also....could it be that I just need to try a different treatment? I though about douching out the Monistat and using something else...would this work?
