Hello,
If you are having irregular periods then using pills can regularize the periods. You should start the oral contraceptive on the first Sunday after your periods. Then take it continuously for 21 days and no pills or dummy pills for 7 days during which the bleeding occurs. You can also start taking the pills right on the first day of your periods and then continue taking them for 21 days after which bleeding occurs during the 7 days of no pills or dummy pills. Be sure to start the next pack right after the 7 inactive pills and do not miss any pills.

I hope it helps. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
